Terms of Service

They cover the website and the enquiry process. They are not the contract for roofing work. Work is carried out under a separate written agreement, and where the two differ, that agreement governs the work.

What you can and cannot do here

You may use this site to learn about our services and to contact us about work. You may not use it to send unlawful, abusive or misleading content, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, or scrape it for commercial purposes.

The content on this site, including text, photographs and design, belongs to Bellingham Metal Roofing or is used with permission. You may not reproduce it commercially without written permission.

What an enquiry is and is not

Sending an enquiry does not create a contract and does not book work. It is a request for us to get in touch.

Estimates are given after a site visit and are provided in writing. An estimate reflects what was visible and accessible when we looked at the roof. Roofing work regularly uncovers conditions that could not be seen beforehand, most commonly deteriorated decking found during tear off. Where that happens, the additional work and its cost are discussed and agreed with you before it is carried out.

Estimates are valid for the period stated on them. Material prices move, and an estimate that has been sitting for months may need revisiting.

Text messages

By providing your mobile number, you agree that we may send you text messages relating to your enquiry, your estimate, or scheduling for work you have asked us to carry out. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Weather and delays

Roofing in Northwest Washington is weather dependent, and metal roof work in particular cannot be carried out safely in high wind. We schedule around the forecast and we will tell you honestly when conditions require a delay.

Weather delays are not a breach of any agreement. Where a delay affects a scheduled start, we will keep you informed and reschedule as soon as conditions allow. Work that leaves a property temporarily open is planned around a suitable window rather than started speculatively.

Prices

Any prices shown on this website are general information only and are not an offer. Nothing on this site constitutes a quotation for your property. Pricing for your job comes from a written estimate following a site visit.

Payment terms are set out in the written agreement for the work.

What we do not promise

We do not promise that a roof will be free of defects for any specific period beyond what is set out in a written agreement or in a manufacturer’s product warranty supplied with the materials.

Content on this website, including articles about roofing materials, costs, insurance and timing, is general information about roofing in this region. It is not advice about your specific property, and it is not tax, legal or insurance advice. Cost figures appearing anywhere on this site are general market ranges and are not our pricing.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute relating to this website or these terms will be brought in the courts of Whatcom County, Washington.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
